Six Pinterest tips for small businesses

Most people use Pinterest for personal reasons but rarely for business use. This is because it gets confusing when using it to market something. However, you can learn how to use it well enough for marketing, and the benefits that you will enjoy from it are quite a number. The following Pinterest tips for small businesses can help you get started.

Open a business account

Several businesses prefer to use the standard Pinterest account, but it is advisable to open up a business account. Business accounts provide analytics, which helps you to learn about your audience and how they behave with different posts. From this information, you will know what to posts more and what to avoid.

Cross-promote

Though Pinterest makes a great marketing tool, it is quite challenging to attain the same reach with Facebook or Instagram. That’s why you should also promote your pins on other platforms, e.g., Facebook. This will help you to gain more followers on Pinterest.

Make sure people can find your pins

For every pin that you post, you are given a chance to provide a small description of it. You should ensure that you have provided enough information on how potential customers can reach you. You should also be smart when giving keywords to your pins and boards as they determine how easy it is to find you on the site.

Show your products in action

To make your pins more effective, you should consider adding content to the photos. If you sell bicycles, then you should post a picture of someone riding the bike. Adding context to your images makes them attractive and draws more engagement from people.

Add a board for testimonials

Most people put so much trust in what other customers have to say about a particular product. You should provide proof to your followers that what you are promoting has been used by other individuals and that they liked them. Your followers can click on the testimonials board to learn more about your product.
